2 Steps Forward, 3 Months Back 4/14/09

Okay, so I was finally able to uninstall 8.0 with all the drivers. That was great. Then I was able to successfully install 7.4 and that was great. So, when I went to start protools, it was completely unresponsive. I restarted the computer several times and it was still unresponsive.

So, now I'm running system restore. AGAIN. It is also a very slow process. It's much too pretty a day to waste it sitting in front of a computer that doesn't even work, so maybe I can find something outdoors to do...

Sorry about your computer problems. I'm curious.... I've got some major slowdowns and someone suggested system restore. Does system restore delete all the files that were downloaded after the restore point you are going to use? Thanks-

It does NOT delete your files although with the changes it does make some files can become inaccessible or difficult to open. I'd recommend saving your files to an external hard drive first. You can use a program called sync toy (free download for it online) or some other similar program to make it super easy to copy your entire C:/ drive and/or other drives onto the external device. Hope that is helpful.
